Psychotherapy is a type of treatment that can help individuals experiencing an array of mental health issues and emotional struggles. Psychotherapy can help not only alleviate symptoms but also identify the psychological root causes of one’s condition so a person can function better and have enhanced emotional well-being and healing.

Sessions are typically held weekly or bi-weekly for 50 minutes. Psychotherapy can be short-term (a few weeks to months), dealing with more immediate challenges, or long-term (months to years), dealing with longstanding and complex issues. The goals of treatment and duration and frequency of treatment are discussed with the client and the therapist together.

Both client and therapist need to be actively involved in psychotherapy. The trust and relationship between a person and their therapist is important for working together effectively and making gains from psychotherapy.

He approaches therapy with the belief that it’s never too early or too late to seek support. Andrew sees the hurtful experiences and broken relationships in every client’s story, and connects the dots to help go back to the past in order to heal the present self.

Andrew specializes in working with both individuals and couples. He supports clients navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, anger, and goal-setting, and works extensively with couples facing communication difficulties or recovering from infidelity. His approach to relationship therapy helps partners rebuild trust, strengthen emotional connections, and develop healthier ways of relating to one another.

In his practice, Andrew draws form a range of therapeutic modalities including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), polyvagal theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and the Gottman Method.
